AIA launched the AIA Prime Critical Cover on 28 April 2014 which provides coverage for certain pre-existing conditions under the Advantage Program.
AIA Prime Critical Cover is a regular premium critical illness plan for adults aged 40 to 70 years old. It provides coverage against 40 critical illnesses from early to critical stage and death, up to age 100. The plan also offers a reimbursement of up to $250 for health screening cost once every 3 policy years, from the 4th policy year.
Critical Illness Benefit
If the Insured suffers from any of the 33 critical illnesses, AIA will pay:
- 100% of the Insured Amount of the basic policy if the critical illness is diagnosed before the 85 years old;
- 150% of the Insured Amount of the basic policy if the critical illness is diagnosed 85 years old.
Survival period is 7 days.
Advantage Program for pre-existing conditions
Under the AIA Prime Critical Cover's Advantage Program, those with Overweight, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 and Raised Cholesterol may possibility be covered without exclusion and without extra premium loading depending on the case.
Note that the AIA Prime Critical Cover may not be suitable for certain individuals.
